Recommendation to accept a donation from the CoIIier County Veteran's Council in the
amount of $23,360.40 for the purchase of a vehicle for the Veteran's Transportation Program.
Approve Budget Amendments to recognize the donation and appropriate the expenditures.

OBJECTIVE: To receive and accept a donation from the Collier County Veteran's Council in the
Amount of $23,360.40 for the purchase of a vehicle for the Veteran's Transportation Program.
Approve Budget Amendments to recognize the donation and appropriate the expenditures.
CONSIDERATIONS: The United Way of Collier County and the Collier County Veteran's
Council have raised donations for the purchase of a new vehicle for the Veteran's Transportation
Program of Collier County. The vehicle will be used to augment the two Veteran's Administration
Vans out-stationed at the Veteran Services Department, and used to transport veterans to V A
medical appointments throughout South Florida.
FISCAL IMPACT: The donated funds will be transferred to the General Fund (001), and included
in the Veteran's Transportation Cost Center (155250).
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no impact to the Growth Management Plan as a
result of this donation.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed and it does not present any legal
issues. This item is not quasi judicial, and as such ex parte disclosure is not required. This item
requires majority vote only. This item is legally sufficient for Board action. - CMG
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners accept donation from the
Collier County Veteran's Council in the amount of $23,360.40 and approve Budget Amendments to
recognize the donation and appropriate the expenditures within the Veterans Transportation
Program.
