PROCLAMA TION
WHEREAS, Collier County Government provides military leave of absence for
employees who are recalled to active ml1itary duty in support of
their community and their country in time of need: an"-
WHEREAS, Collier County Government has five employees currently on active
duty with the military, including Kevin Anderson, a Utility
Technician recalled in July, 2008: Malinda Busher, an EMS
Paramedic recalled in October, 2008: Tracy Edmondson, a
MedFlight Pilot recalled in March, 2008: Christian Grieve, a Utility
Technician recalled in August, 2005: and Hermes Oliva, an EMS
Paramedic recalled in April. 2008: an"-
WHEREAS, in the highest American tradition, the patriotic men and women of
the Guard and Reserve serve voluntarily and in an honorable and
vital profession: an"-
WHEREAS, these employees, as well as other members of the Guard and
Reserve, are charged with the respqnsibility to preserve our
freedom and national security: an"-
WHEREAS, the residents of Collier County send our best wishes, thoughts, and
prayers to these men and women in uniform who are protecting our
great country during these perilous times.
NOW THEREFORE, be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of
Collier County, Florida, that on behalf of the citizens of Collier
County, we enthusiastically extend our suppart to all of our valiant
ml1itary men and women.
