WHEREAS, Toastmasters International empowers people to achieve their full
potential and realize their dreams. Through its member clubs,
people throughout the world can improve their communication and
leadership skills and find the courage to change: and.
WHEREAS, the mission of a Toastmasters Club is to provide a mutually
supportive and positive learning environment in which every
member has the opportunity to develop communication and
leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and
personal growth: and.
WHEREAS, Naples Toastmasters Club was chartered on April 4, J 959. It is
Collier County's original Toastmasters Club: its members are a
diverse, fun, and supportive group of people with a common goal:
to feel more comfortable when called upon to speak publically:

WHEREAS, Naples Totlstmasters follows a carefully planned program
developed by Toastmasters International that helps one build
their skills, block by block, and confidence by leaps and bounds:
and.
WHEREAS, Naples Toastmasters Club is celebroting its 5d" anniversary and
throughout its 50 years of service, it has empowered numerous
members of our community by improving their leadership skills,
communication skills, and fulfilling their personal goals.
NOW THEREFORE, be it proclaimed by the Botlrd of County Commissioners of
Collier County, Florida, that April 4, 2009 be designated as
NAPLES TOASTMASTERS CLUB DAY
in recognition of its outstanding service to the citizens of Collier
County.
