Backup Documents 04/14/2009 Item # 4G t"4G PROCLAMA TION WHEREAS, the third week in April, 2009 has been declared "National Public Safety Communications Week" by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America/ and, WHEREAS, the President of the United States will issue a proclamation calling upon the people of the United States to observe that week with appropriate ceremonies and activities/ and, WHEREAS, emergencies can occur at anytime that require law enforcement, fire, or emergency medical services/ and, WHEREAS, Public Safety Dispatchers are the first and mast critical contact our citizens have with emergency services/ and, WHEREAS, Public Safety Dispatchers are the single vital link far Emergency Services personnel/and, WHEREAS, Public Safety Dispatchers of the Callier County Sheriffs Office have directly contributed to the apprehension of criminals, suppression of fires, and treatment of patients/ am:1- WHEREAS, the Callier County Sheriffs Office Public Safety Dispatchers continually exhibit compassion, understanding, and professionalism during the performance of their assignments. NOW THEREFORE- be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of Callier County, Florida, that the week of April 12, 2009 through April 18, 2009, be designated as NATIONAL TELECOMMUNICATOR'S WEEK IN COLLIER COUNTY in honor of the men and women whose diligence and professionalism keep our county and citizens safe.
