PROCLAMA TION
WHEREAS, May is Elder Law Month and Jill and Dan Burzynski, attorneys in Collier
County, have provided elder needs services to this community for 21
years: and.
WHEREAS, Jill Burzynski is past President of the Collier Bar Association, and this
past year she and Dan have established a scholarship program for
students at Naples High School: and.
WHEREAS, students who are considered for a scholarship are brought to a local
assisted living facility and are matched with a senior resident. This
year, Homewood Residence at Naples is the facl'lity chosen for this
wonderful program. The students then meet and interact with the
seniors on a regular basis. When the program is completed. the students
create an essay about their time spent with the senior: and.
WHEREAS, the senior resi_ts follow their student counterpart very closely
through news artk/u and take an a&tive interest in the students'
progress in sptJrls, grtJduation, and future coll6ge plans: and.
WHEREAS, In May, 2009 the essays will be reviewed and 't/vttM scholarships will be
awardtu/. /lcst of luck to all students who are ptlI'ticipating.
NOW THEREFORE, be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of Collier
