RESOLUTION NO. 2002-460
A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING AND APPOINTING MEMBERS
TO THE EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES ADVISORY COUNCIL
WHEREAS, Collier County Ordinance No. 80-80 created the Emergency Medical
Services Advisory Council and provides that the Advisory Council shall be composed of
eleven (11) regular members, three (3) ex-officio members and two (2) staff members;
and
WHEREAS, the Board adopted Resolution No. 90-527 on October 30, 1990 which
revised and updated the Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council's by-laws by
providing that the Advisory Council include two members At Large; and
WHEREAS, there are currently 2 vacancies on this board; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners previously provided public notice
soliciting applications from interested parties; and
WHEREAS, the Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council provided the Board of
County Commissioners with its recommendations for appointment to their Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
1. Chief Michael Murphy, representing Marco Island Fire/Rescue/EMS, is hereby
confirmed and appointed to the Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council to fulfill
the remainder of the vacant term, said term expiring August 31, 2005.
2. Chief Rob Potteiger, representing the Collier County Fire Chief's Assocation, is
hereby confirmed and appointed to the Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council to
fulfill the remainder of the vacant term, said term expiring on August 31, 2005.
This Resolution adopted after motion, second and majority vote.
