WHEREAS, Naples Big Cypress Market Place is a one-of-a-kind project that supports and
promotes the community in a variety of ways, its architectural uniqueness in
design and functionality is an attraction that the public appreciates today and
will continue to appreciate in the future,' and,
WHEREAS, Naples Big Cypress Market Place opened October 10, 2008 with over 100,000
square feet of air conditioned building space, providing over 1,000 parking
spaces, and occupies 20 acres in Collier County,' and,
WHEREAS, Naples Big Cypress Market Place has a Historic Naples theme with special
emphasis on the Everglades throughout the Market Place building and has over
125 small businesses waiting to serve its visitors: and,
WHEREAS, Naples Big Cypress Market Place was recently rated the "3d" Best Place to
See" while in Florida by Travel and Leisure Magazine,' and,
WHEREAS, Naples Big Cypress Market Place offer$ a winery, 13,000 square-foot trade
center, bingo/parkJr gaming area, outdoor pr<<Iuce area, tiki bar, 10,000
square- foot event area ftJr hosting public and private events, boat display area,
artisan corner, outrItxJr acreage for car shows, t/rl$ and crafts shows, etc. and
is currently constructing a large miniature hisfDric- train display, whereby
showing the commitment to make this not only a uniqtlll shopping experience, but
also a ''Public Attraction" and asset for Collier County.
NOW THEREFORE, be it pr<<laimed by the Board of County Commissioners of Collier County,
Florida, that the Naples Big Cypress Market Place is a ''Public Attraction" for
Collier County.
