Backup Documents 10/13/2009 Item # 9D�t RESOLUTION NO. 2009-247 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPOINTING SUSAN O'BRIEN TO THE CLAM BAY ADVISORY COMMITTEE. WHEREAS, on September 9, 2008, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) adopted Ordinance No. 2008 -48, which established the Clam Bay Advisory Committee to assist the Coastal Advisory Committee and the Board of County Commissioners with all issues affecting the entire Clam Bay estuary system, including the management, direction, health, and long -term viability of the estuary system. WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. 2008 -48, the Committee shall be composed of nine members: two representatives from Pelican Bay; two representatives from Seagate and /or Naples Cay; one resident from District I; one resident from District 3; one representative from District 5; and two members from the community at large with specific technical, scientific expertise related to estuary management and protection; and WHEREAS, with the resignation of James A. Carroll, there is currently a vacancy on this Advisory Committee under the category of Pelican Bay representative; and WHEREAS, the Board previously provided public notice soliciting applications from interested parties. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that SUSAN O'BRIEN, representing Pelican Bay, is hereby appointed to the Clam Bay Advisory Committee to fulfill the remainder of this vacant term, said term to expire on December 31, 2009.
