March 13. 1979 LET IT BE REMEMBERED, that the Board of County Commissioners in and for the County of ColHer, and also acting as the Governing Board(s) of such special districts as have been created according to law and having conducted business herein. met on this date at 1:40 P.M. in Conference Session in Building "F" of the Courthouse Complex with the following members present: CHAIRMAN: David C. Brown VICE-CHAIRMAN: Clifford Wenzel John A. Pistor C.R. "Russ" Wimer Thomas P. Archer ALSO PRESENT: Harold L. Hall. Chief Deputy Clerk/Fiscal Officer. Jean Swindle. Deputy Clerk. C. William Norinan. County Manager; Frank t:ilcox. Purchasin! Director. Danny Crew, Planner; Dr. Heinrich O.E. Schmid, Medical Examiner and Ray Barnett, Deputy Chief of the Sheriff's Department. ~ 1. Discussion regarding the pOSSible purchase of mobiie trailers from the City of Naples by the County (See action taken in Regu- lar Session of this same date). DISCUSSION REGARDING THE POSSIBLE PURCHASE OF MOBILE TRAILERS FROM THE CITY OF NAPLES BY THE COUNTY - (SEE ACTION TAKEN IN REGULAR SESSION OF THIS DATE) County Manager Norman introduced the item and stated that he had been informed by the City Manager of Naples of the availability of four (4) surplus trailer offices and even though the City is in the process of pre- paring bid documents to sell them, they have agreed to enter into negotiations with the County for the purchase of the mobile homes. if the County is interested, Discussion followed. at which time, Purchasing Director Wilcox reviewed the cost figures of purchasing the four (4) surplus trailer offices against leasing of the same equipment and Planner Crew outlined. for the Board's consideration. his recommended uses and locations. Mr. Crew stated that investigation of County space needs indicates that there is a critical need for space in certain County activities, naming in particular. the Collier County Medical Examiner. Sc~ &OOK 045 PACE 706 aOCK 045 PACE 707 March 13. 1979 A number of suggestions were tourhed upon with the result being that the County Manager was authorized to negotiate with the City of Naples for the purchase of the four (4) surplus trailer offices and that the financing for such a proposed purchase could come from the monies derived from the sale of old election machines with the remainder of funds coming from the Contingency Fund. * * * * * * * * . . . . * . * * * The meeting, was adjourned by order of the Chair to reconvene in Regular Session - Time: 2:00 P.M.
