RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING COMMISSION DISTRICT NEWSLETTERS,
INFORMA TIVE NOTICES, MAILERS OR OTHER INFORMATIONAL SITES OR
TRANSMITT ALS.
WHEREAS, it is desirable for the people of Collier County government to be informed
of county governmental issues, programs, proposals and plans including the thoughts and
activities of the commissioners; and
WHEREAS, newsletters, websites, emails and other informational notices prepared and
transmitted by U.S. Mail, electronic or other means can serve the valid public purpose of
informing county citizens of their local county government; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners considers the use of newsletters,
emails, websites and other conventional message media as desirable to better fulfill the need to
inform the citizens of their local government.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT NOW RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF, COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA that the Board finds the preparation
and transmittal of commission district newsletters and informational notices to be a valid public
purpose and in the public interest, and such newsletters or notices may be mailed, transmitted
electronically, andlor be created as part of the County's website or otherwise communicated to
the citizens of Collier County.
This Resolution shall take effect upon adoption.
