A RESOLUTION OF THE COLLIER COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS FOR THE APPROVAL OF THE COUNTY'S ENTRY
INTO A FIFTY [50] YEAR LEASE WITH THE STATE OF FLORIDA BOARD
OF TRUSTEES OF THE INTERNAL IMPROVEMENT TRUST FUND FOR
THE STATE OF FLORIDA HIGWAY MAINTENANCE FACILITY ON
DAVIS BOULEVARD
WHEREAS, Collier County staff has been involved in lengthy
negotiations with both the State of Florida, Department of
Environmental Protection, Division of State Lands, and the State
of Florida Department of Transportation to lease the State of
Florida Highway Maintenance Facility on Davis Boulevard,
[hereinafter "Facility"], and to assume responsibility for the
maintenance of certain roads in Collier County; and
WHEREAS, Collier County desires to enter into a Fifty [50]
Year Lease for this Facility with the State of Florida Board of
Trustees of the Internal Improvement Trust Fund; and
WHEREAS, the State of Florida Department of Transportation
has consented to terminate its lease of the Facility on the
condition that the Facility is leased to Collier County; and
WHEREAS, The Collier County Board of County Commissioners
has reviewed the terms of the Fifty [50] Year Lease, attached
hereto as Exhibit "A", and is familiar with its terms.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
The Collier County Board of County Commissioners approves
the County's entry into the Fifty [50] Year Lease attached
hereto as Exhibit "A" for the aforementioned Facility with the
