RESOLUTION DECLARING VACANCIES
ON THE BLACK AFFAIRS ADVISORY BOARD.
WHEREAS, Collier County adopted Ordinance No. 91-38 creating the Black Affairs
Advisory Board, which provides that the Advisory Board shall consist of seven (7)
members; and
WHEREAS, Collier County Ordinance No. 91-77 amended Ordinance No. 91-38 by
providing that the Advisory Board shall consist of nine (9) members; and
WHEREAS, ColJier County Ordinance No. 2001-55 prOVides that any board member
who is absent for more than one-half of the board's meetings in a given fiscal year shall
be deemed to have tendered his resignation from such board; and
WHEREAS, the Chairman of the Black Affairs Advisory Board has advised the Board
of County Commissioners that James Roath, James Drayton and Robert Jenkins have
failed to comply with the requirements set forth in Ordinance No. 2001-55, and has
requested that the Board of County Commissioners declare that the seats held by said
members be declared vacant on their Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the seats previously occupied
by James Roath, James Drayton and Robert Jenkins are hereby declared to be vacant
on the Black Affairs Advisory Board.
This Resolution adopted after motion, second and majority vote.
