Recommendation that the Collier County Board of County Commissioners approve and
authorize the Airport Authority to begin a search for an Executive Director.
OBJECTIVE: That the Board of County Commissioners (BCe) approve and authorize
the Airport Authority to begin a search for an Executive Director.
CONSIDERATIONS: The current Executive Director has resigned her position with the
Airport Authority.
In accordance with Section Ten, Paragraph A. of Ordinance 2004-03, the Collier County
Airport Authority Ordinance, states that the Authority shall have an Executive Director,
and that eadl search for an EXt:cutive Director must be approved by the Board of County
Commissioners.

Section Ten. Executive Director.
A. The Authority shall have an Executive Director to serve as the Authority's
chief operating officer. The Executive Director shall be hired by an
affirmative vote of the membership of the Authority subject to (i) the Board
approving each search for an Executive Director,(ii) the Board approving the
individual recommended to the Board for employment as Executive Director,
and (iii) the Board approving the proposed employment agreement. Subject to
the provisions of an Employment Agreement of the Executive Director, the
Executive Director may be tenninated, with or without came, by an
affirmative vote of the membership of the Authority
FISCAL IMPACT: There is no fiscal impact associated with this executive summary.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMP ACT: There is no Growth Management Impact
associated with this Executive Summary.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed and approved by the
County Attomey's Office and is legally sufficient. JAK
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners approve and
authorize the Airport Authority to begin a search for an Executive Director.
