EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
COMMISSIONER REQUEST FOR BOARD APPROVAL FOR PAYMENT TO
ATTEND FUNCTION SERVING A VALID PUBLIC PURPOSE
OBJECTIVE: For the Board of County Commissioners to declare a valid public
purpose for a Commissioner to attend function/event and approve payment by
the Clerk.
CONSIDERATIONS: Pursuant to Resolution No. 99-410, the Board of County
Commissioners has determined that attendance at the functions of fraternal,
business, environmental, educational, charitable, social, professional, trade,
homeowners, ethnic, and civic association/organizations serves a valid public
purpose, provided that said functions reasonably relate to Collier County matters,
COMMISSIONER: Donna Fiala
FUNCTION/EVENT: National Society Daughters of the American Revolution
Fundraiser
PUBLIC PURPOSE: Meet and interact with local business and community
leaders.
DATE OF FUNCTION/EVENT: November 20, 2009
FISCAL IMPACT: $25.00 Funds to be paid from Commissioner's travel budget.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners, in accordance
with Resolution No. 99-410, approve payment by the Clerk for Commissioner
Donna Fiala to attend function serving a valid public purpose.

We will meet at the Country Club of Naples *, 185
Burning Tree Dr at 11:00 AM for an hour of shop-
ping, enjoy our delicious Annual Thanksgiving
Luncheon at 12:00 Noon and you can spend time
after picking out your treasures. Think Christmas!
A percentage of each sale will be donated to Athena
House in Tampa. American Express, Visa and Master Charge credit cards will be
accepted, as «ill personal checks. The price range of the jewelry will be from $30
to $300. A few pieces are higher. The cost is 5525; $5 from each luncheon will be
donated to Athena House. Guests are very welcome; bring your friends.
