Request approval by the Board of County Commissioners of the change in the scheduled
meetings for the 2007 -2008 Growth Management Plan Amendment Cycle.
OBJECTIVE:
To request approval by the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) of the changes to the 2007-
2008 Growth Management Plan (GMP) amendment cycle.
CONSIDERATIONS:
Mr. R. Bruce Anderson, Roetzel & Andress, A Legal Professional Association, Naples, Florida
Office, appeared before the Board of County Commissioners on September 15, 2008, under a
public petition item to request that the Board accelerate the schedule for the 2007 -2008 GMP
Amendment Cycle. After a brief discussion, the Board directed that staff evaluate the feasibility
of accelerating the schedule to assure completion of the cycle prior to the November Hometown
Democracy vote.
Below is the original schedule as approved by the BCC and the proposed revised schedule for
review and approval with the changes identified in italics.

Locking in the dates now is important so that the petitioners can post the necessary signs and
notice neighboring properties pursuant to the Land Development Code (LDC).
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS:
This item is ready for Board consideration and approval. - HFAC
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding to support the cycle has been identified and approved by the BCC in the FYI Budget.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT:
The following schedules for the 07/08 GMP Amendments Cycle will run concurrently with the
Immokalee Area Master Plan GMP Amendments as previously approved by the Board:
