EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation that the Board of County Commissioners award Bid 409 -5235 for
Lake Bank Geotextile Tube Installations to Erosion Restoration, LLC for an
estimated annual expenditure of $100,000.
OBJECTIVE: To award an annual contract for Lake Bank Geotextile Tube Installations
to Erosion Restoration LLC.
CONSIDERATIONS:
I . Bid #09 -5235 was posted on April 1, 2009. Nine hundred and twenty seven (927)
notices were sent and five (5) bids were received and opened on May 1, 2009.
2. Staff has reviewed the bids and determined that the low bid was submitted by
Erosion Restoration, LLC. Therefore, staff recommends award of Bid #09 -5235
to Erosion Restoration, LLC as the lowest qualified responsive bidder.
3. The grand total indicated on the bid tabulation was calculated by using the unit
b-- prices submitted by the bidders and applying those to the example quantities
stated in the bid specification which was for evaluation purposes only.
FISCAL IMPACT: Funds in the amount of $100,000 are budgeted within the Pelican
Bay Services Capital Projects Fund 322.
LEGAL CONSIDERATION: This item has been reviewed and approved by the
County Attorney's Office. It is not quasi - judicial and requires no ex parte disclosure. A
majority vote is necessary for Board action.- HFAC
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no Growth Mana -cment Impact
resulting from this action.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners award Bid #09-
5235 for Lake Bank Geotextile Tube Installations to Erosion Restoration, LLC.
