EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve a budget amendment to transfer an amount not to
exceed $342,000 from Project No. 71058, "Initial Water Legal" to a new Project No.
70015, titled "General Legal Services ".
OBJECTIVE: To approve a budget amendment to transfer an amount not to exceed
$342,000 from Project No. 71058, "Initial Water Legal" to a new Project No. 70015,
titled "General Legal Services ".
CONSIDERATIONS: This project is included in the 2008 Wastewater Master Plan
Update adopted by the Board of Collier County Commissioners on June 24, 2008, under
Item 10(B) and is consistent with. the current FY 2009 Capital Improvement budget
approved by the Board on September 18, 2008.
The funds in this project can be utilized for more than one project. To comply with
proper accounting practices and to ensure that these expenses are not capitalized, this
project has to be reclassified into an operating category. A budget amendment is
necessary to transfer funds from the existing project to a new project to properly classify
this as an operating project.
No new funds are requested for this transfer. This is simply a reclassification of a project
to recognize proper accounting practices.
FISCAL IMPACT: A Budget Amendment is necessary to transfer the existing budget
from fund 412, project No. 71058, "Initial Water Legal" to a new project No. 70015,
titled "General Legal. Services ", in the same fund for an amount not to exceed $342,000.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: No legal issues are raised by this item, which is ready
for Board action. This is a regular matter requiring simple majority vote.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact as a
result of this budget amendment.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Recommendation to approve a budget amendment to transfer
an amount not to exceed $342,000 from Project No. 71058, "Initial Water Legal" to a
new Project No. 70015, titled "General Legal Services ".
