EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation for the Board of County Commissioners to approve a budget amendment to
reallocate funding from Transportation Engineering's operating funds into their personal
services budget.
OBJECTIVE: To approve a budget amendment to shift funding from the operating expenses in
Transportation Engineering Services into the personal services.
CONSIDERATIONS: Shifting of the monies within this operating budget is necessary to cover a
shortage of dollars for personal services. No additional funds are being requested to cover this
shortfall other than reducing our own operating cost. "Phis budget amendment will eliminate a
shortfall on funds for personal services. The budget was predicated on a 4% attrition and we have
had no vacancies within the Transportation Engineering Department. All positions have been filled.
FISCAL IMPACT: A budget amendment is needed in the amount of $79,000.00 to reduce the
operating budget within the Transportation Engineering Department within the Gas Tax Capital
Fund 312 and move into personal services budget.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no Growth Management Impact associated
with this Executive Summary.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item raises no legal issues. This is a regular matter requiring
simple majority vote. —JAK
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners approve all necessary budget
amendments.
