EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation that the Board of County Commissioners approve a budget amendment
in the amount of $14,000 from the Court Administration Fund (681) to the Teen Court
Fund (171).
OBJECTIVE: To provide funding for personal services in Teen Court Fund (171) for the
balance ofthe current fiscal year.
CONSIDERATIONS: Teen Court Fund (171) receives its funding from Ordinance 04-42,
Section l(a)(4), adopted on July 1, 2004. Article V revenues have experienced severe declines
for the past three consecutive years, and there are insufficient revenues to cover the payroll for
the balance of FY 2009. Court Administration has had some vacancies that have provided them
with excess money for the current fiscal year 2009.
FISCAL IMPACT: Funds are available in Reserves of Court Administration Fund (681) to
cover the revenue shortfall of$14,000 in Teen Court Fund (171).
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMP ACT: There is no growth management impact associated
with this request.
LEGAL CONSIDERATION: This budget amendment does not present any legal issues. This
item requires simple majority vote and is legally sufficient for Board action. - CMG
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners approve a budget
amendment in the amount of $14,000 from the Court Administration Fund (681) to the Teen
Court Fund (171).
