EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve a budget amendment recognizing carry forward
amounts from FY 2008 for the Conservation Collier Land Acquisition Fund (172)
in the amount of $1,713,300.
OBJECTIVE:
To obtain Collier County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) approval for a budget
amendment that will allow unexpended funds in the FY 2008 Conservation Collier Land
Acquisition Fund (172) to be carried forward and appropriated within the fund.
CONSIDERATION:
Funds were appropriated in FY 2008 for the Conservation Collier Land Acquisition Fund (172).
It is now recommended that the unspent funds from this prior fiscal year be appropriated into the
FY 2009 budget, therefore allowing for an additional carry forward that will be appropriated
within the fund.
FISCAL IMPACT:
A budget amendment is needed to recognize the additional carry forward in the amount of
$1,713,300 and will be appropriated in the Conservation Collier Land Acquisition Fund (172) for
land capital purchases and the associated operating costs, with the remainder held in reserves.

GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT:
There is no growth management impact associated with this executive summary.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the Board approves the necessary budget amendments to recognize $1,713,300 in
unspent funds from the prior fiscal year within the Conservation Collier Land Acquisition Fund
(172).
