Proiect Description: The project requirements include the expansion and improvement
of Santa Barbara Blvd from four (4) lanes to six (6) lanes for 5.25 miles (8.4 Ian) and of
Radio Road from two (2) lanes to four (4) lanes for 1.22 miles (1.96 Ian). The scope of
the work includes bridge widening over Interstate 1-75 and Golden Gate Canal, drainage
improvements, utility relocations, noise abatement walls, signalization and lighting
enhancements, and landscaping improvements.

Current Proiect Status: The project is on schedule with 93.6% percent of the work
complete and 87.6% percent of the contract time elapsed as of April 30th, 2009. The
value of the work completed and stored to date (as of 4/30/09) is over $58 Million.
Traffic for the entire project has been switched into the last phase of construction. Final
paving of the asphalt course (friction course) is scheduled to start in late May, 2009.
