WHEREAS, the Colombian Community of Southwest FIDr:ida would like to share
their culture and heritage with all the people of Collier County:
and,
,
WHEREAS. the goal of the Colombia Association and Casa Hispana of Collier
County is to preserve and promote the Colombian heritage
throughout Collier County to enhance diyersity and cross-cultural
understanding by social interaction and proYiding outreach and
educational programs: and,
WHEREAS, the missian of the Colombia Association and Casa Hispana of Collier
County is to encourage multi-cultural participation for the
Colombian Flag Day and to promote interaction within the various
cultural societies helping build cross-culturol understanding
throughout Southwest Florida by way of concerts, seminars, public
forums, and events related to Colombian and American History.
NOW THEREFORE, ~ it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of
Collier County, Florida, that July 20, 2009 be designated as a day
to honor
Colombian Flag Day
