EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation that the Board of County Commissioners approves and
authorizes the Chairman to sign the Second Amendment to the Collier County
Emergency Services Medical Consultant Contract with Robert Boyd Tober, Inc.
for authorized County business related expenses and ratifies payment of such
business related expenses since the inception of the contract on September 1,
2001.
OBJECTIVE: To approve the Second Amendment to the contract between Collier County and
Robert Boyd Tober, Inc, (Dr. Tober) to provide for the payment of certain expenses for Dr,
Tober and/or his assistant.
CONSIDERATIONS: By Agreement dated September 1, 2001, Collier County entered into a
Contract with Dr, Robert Boyd Tober for Emergency Services Medical Consultant.
Collier County has been paying expenses related to County business for Dr, Tober and/or his
assistant, such as mailings, office supplies, training, education and seminars, as well as travel
expenses, This Second Amendment will codify the payment of expenses related to County
Business for Dr, Tober and/or his assistant. Staff also requests ratification for any such Collier
business expenses paid for Dr, Tober andlor his assistant since the inception of the contract on
September 1,2001,
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no Growth Management Impact associated with
this Executive Summary.
FISCAL IMPACT: Funding in the estimated amount of $5,000,00 annually is available in EMS
Operations Fund 490.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is not quasi-judicial, no ex parte communication is
required, requires majority vote, and is legally sufficient for Board action. - CMG

SECOND AMENDMENT TO COLLIER COUNTY EMERGENCY SERVICES MEDICAL CONSULTANT
CONTRACT
This Second Amendment to the Collier County Emergency Services Medical Consultant
Contract ("Amendment") is made this day of
, 2009, by and between Robert Boyd Tober, Inc, ("Consultant") and Collier County,
Florida ("County"),
WHEREAS, by Agreement dated September 1, 2001, the parties entered into a Collier
County Emergency Services Medical Consultant Contract {"Agreement"), a copy of which is
incorporated herein by reference; and
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereby amend the Agreement to add Item 19,
EXPENSES, as follows:
19, EXPENSES. County shall pay expenses for Dr. Tober, and/or his assistant related to County
business, to include, but not be limited to, mailings, office supplies, training, education,
seminars, lodging (actual cost of lodging at single occupancy rate with a cap of no more than
$150,00 per night), air travel (actual ticket cost limited to tourist or coach class fare), and
rental car (actual rental cost limited to compact or standard-size vehicles),
Except as specifically set forth herein, all other terms and conditions of the Agreement remain
in full force and effect,
