EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to recognize and appropriate insurance proceeds revenue to the Landscape
Operations-Various In-House Segments cost center (163801), in the amount of $81,000 for Fiscal
Year 2019 and authorize all necessary Budget Amendments.
OBJECTIVE: To recognize and appropriate insurance proceeds to the Landscape Operations- Various
In -House Segments cost center in the amount of $81,000 for Fiscal Year 2019 and authorize all necessary
Budget Amendments.
CONSIDERATION: The Road Maintenance Division’s Landscape Operations Section is responsible
for the maintenance, repair, and replacement of County owned landscape and irrigation. Due to numerous
vehicle crashes, costs for necessary repairs and replacements greatly exceeded the expect ed annual
routine maintenance costs. Recognizing insurance proceeds in excess of budgeted amounts will allow for
the purchase of materials needed to make the associated repairs.
FISCAL IMPACT: Budget amendments are necessary to recognize insurance proceeds of $81,000 and
appropriate funds within Unincorporated General Fund (111), Landscape Operations - Various In-House
Segments Cost Center 163801.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with this
Executive Summary.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney, raises no legal
issues, and requires majority vote for approval. -JAK
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners authorizes the recognition and
appropriation of insurance proceeds revenue to the Landscape Operations-Various In-House Segments
cost center, in the amount of $81,000 for Fiscal Year 2019 and authorizes all necessary Budget
Amendments.
