A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS TO APPOINT AND REAPPOINT
MEMBERS TO THE SMALL CITIES COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT CITIZENS ADVISORY
TASK FORCE.
WHEREAS, Collier County Ordinance No. 90-60 established a Small Cities Community
Development Block Grant Citizens Advisory Task Force for Collier County; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 90-60 provides for the appointment of five members for
two year terms after the initial term; and
WHEREAS, there are currently vacancies on this Task Force; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners previously provided public notice
soliciting applications from interested parties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
1. Russell W. Tuff, Business Leader, is hereby reappointed to the Small Cities
Community Development Block Grant Citizens Advisory Task Force for a 2 year term,
said term to expire on December 31, 2004.
2. Fred N. Thomas, Jr., Affordable Housing/Civic Activist is hereby appointed to the
Small Cities Community Development Block Grant Citizens Advisory Task Force for a 2
year term, said term to expire on December 31, 2004.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Collier
County hereby waives the provisions of Section Five D. of Ordinance No. 2001-55,
relating to a limitation of service to two committees simultaneously, for the purpose of
appointment of Fred N. Thomas, Jr., to this Committee.
This Resolution adopted after motion, second and majority vote.
