Appointment of member(s) to the Land Acquisition Advisory Committee
OBJECTIVE: To appoint 2 members to fulfill the remainder of vacancies with the terms
expiring on February II, 2010 and February 11, 2012, to the Land Acquisition Advisory
Committee.
CONSIDERATIONS: The Land Acquisition Advisory Committee has 2 vacancies due to
resignations. This 9-member committee was created by Ordinance No. 2002-63 and their
primary responsibility is to recommend to the BCC an Active Properties Acquisition List with
qualified purchase recommendations of environmentally sensitive lands consistent with the goals
of the Conservation Collier Land Acquisition Program. Membership of the committee shall
comprise broad and balanced representation including environmental and conservation interests,
agricultural and business interests, educational interests, and general civic and citizen interests
within the County. Members shall have expertise, knowledge or interest in ecology,
conservation of natural resources, real estate or land acquisition, land appraisal, land
management, eco-tourism or environmental education. A list of the current membership is
included in the backup.
Marco A. Espinar resigned on March 8, 2009 and George J. Wilder resigned on April 2, 2009. A

Recommendation for Conservation Collier Committee appointments
On April 13, 2009, the Conservation Collier Land Acquisition Advisory Committee (CCLAAC)
met at their regularly scheduled monthly meeting and discussed the applications of two (2)
persons which were received to fill the two (2) vacancies created by member resignations.
After discussion, a motion was made and seconded for the CCLAAC to recommend the two
applicants to fill the two vacancies. The motion was approved by a unanimous 8-0 vote. The
applicants are identified below.
I. Annisa Karim - recommended for appointment
2. Robert Dorta - recommended for appointment
