EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Commissioner request for Board approval for paymcnt to attend function serving a valid
public purposc.
OBJECTIVE: For the Board of eounty Commissioners to declare a valid public purpose for a
Commissioner to attend function/event and approve payment by the Clerk.
CONSIDERA TIONS: Pursuant to resolution No, 99-4 I 0, the Board of COU11ty Commissioners
has detennined that attendance at the functions of fraternal, business, environmental,
educational, charitable, social, professional. trade, homeowners, ethnic, and civic
associations/organizations serves a valid public pll1vose, provided that said functions reasonably
relate to Collier County matters.
COMMISSIONER: Jim Coletta
FUNCTION/EVENT: Annual Dinner Meeting and Installation of Collier County Medical Staff
Officers in Naples, Florida.
PUBLIC PURPOSE: Meet and interact with local healthcare industry leaders,
DA TE OF FUNCTION/EVENT: May 9,2009
FISCAL IMPACT: $50,00 Funds to be paid fTOm Commissioner's travel budget.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners, in accordance with
resolution No, 99-410, approve payment by the Clerk for eommissioner Coletta to attend
function serving a valid public purpose,
