WHEREAS, May is Eider Law Manth and Jill and Dan Burzynski. attorneys in Coliier
County, have provided elder needs services to this community for 21
years;, and,
WHER€AS, Jill Byrzynski is past President of the Collier Bar Association, and this
past year she and Dan have established a scholarship program for
students at Naples High School: and,
WHeREAS, students who are considered for a scholarship are brought to a local
assisted living facility and are matched with a senior resident. This
year, Homewood Residence at Naples is the facility chosen for this
wonderful program. The students then meet and interact with the
seniors on Q regular basis. When the program is completed, the students
create an essay about their time spent with the senior: and,
WHEREAS, the senior residents follow their student counterpart very closely through
news arli'c/es and take an octlve Interest In the students' progress In
sports, graduanon, and future college plans: anct
WHEREAS, ;n May, 2009 the essays wJ1l be reviewed and three scholarships will be
awarded.. Best of luck to all students who are participating.
NOW THEREFORE, be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of Collier
County, Florida, that May, 2009 be designated as
Jill and Dan Burzynski Month
and please join us in thanking them for their support to the elders of
CoiNer County and wish them well In their continuing support in the future.
