WHEREAS, the National Animal Control Association has designated the seeM"
week of AprIl each year as Animal Control Appreciation Week: amt
WH€REAS, various federal, state, and Iccol government officials throughaut the
country take this time to recognize, thank, and commend all Animal
Control Officers for the dedicated service they provide to the citizens
of their Jurisdiction: and,
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Collier County would like to
express its sincere thanks and appreciation for the outstanding service
the Collier County Domestic Animal Services Department provides on a
daily hasis to the citizens Df Collier County: anti,
WHCReAS, the Board of County Commissioners recognizes and commends our
Animal Control Officers for the dedication Dna professiona(ism they
demonstrate in serving the community, and for fulft1/lng the Domestic
Animal Services Department's~ commitment to providing the highest and
most efficient level of customer servic;e/ and,
WHeREAS, the Board of County Commissioners wishes to commend each Animal
Control Officer for their service, which is in keeping with the long and
distinguished tradition of the Animal Control profession.
NOW THeREFOR€, be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of Collier
County, Florida, that the week of April 12, 2009 through Aprt7 J 8,
2009, be designated as
Collier County Animal Control Officers Week
and respectfully asks all citizens and county personnel alike to join in
expressing their sincere thanks, gratitude and appreciation for the
many long hours of outstanding service and quality performance these
outstanding individuals provide throughout the year to assure the
safety and welfare of all.
