EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to Award Bid #09-5182, General Furniture for the New
Collier County South Regional Library to Your Office, Inc. in the amount of
$79,568.48.
OBJECTIVE: To provide the general public area furniture items included in the
new South Regional Library project scope.

CONSIDERATIONS: Bid# 09-5182 was posted by the Purchasing Department
on December 30, 2008 and electronic notifications were sent to seventy-three
(73) registered firms with forty-eight (48) firms downloading the bid document
and six (6) firms submitting bid responses. This bid package was issued with a
"Basis of Design Specification" methodology with brand, model and pricing due
on January 21, 2009. The six (6) submissions were received from: Corporate
Express, Marco Office Supply, Office Furniture and Design, The Beaux-Arts
Group, Your Office, Inc. and Workplace Resource and evaluated for compliance
with the project specifications by staff and the Project Architect.s Registered
Interior Designer. Of the six (6) firms submitting bids, two (2) were deemed non-
responsive for not bidding on all items and two (2) firms were deemed non-
responsive as items submitted were not in accordance with specifications. Marco
Office Supply withdrew their bid due to a pricing error that would have resulted in
a substantial loss. Your Office, Inc. is the lowest responsive and qualified bidder
meeting the specifications.
FISCAL IMPACT: The costs for this recommended award are within the
allowances for these items in the Project Budget.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no impact on the Growth
Management Plan.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is not quasi-judicial, and as such ex parte
disclosure is not required. This item requires majority vote only. This item is
legally sufficient for Board Action. - CMG
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissions award Bid# 09-
5182,General Furniture for the Collier County South Regional Library to Your
Office, Inc. in the amount of $79,568.48. A County numbered purchase order will
be utilized as the form of contract.
