EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommend that the Board of County Commissioners recognize a scrivener's
error in the January 13, 2009 approved Contract #09-5148 value with Subaqueous
Services, LLC for the Dredging of Doctors and Wiggins Passes in the amount of
$10,999.97 and approve a revised contract amount totaling $1,566,419.26.
OBJECTIVE: To approve the revised value of Contract #09-5148 from $1,555,419.29
to $1,566,419.26 vvhich represents the final negotiated contract amount.
CONSIDERATIONS: This item was approved by the BCC on January 13, 2009 in the
amount of $1,555,419.29. During negotiations, staff inadvertently transcribed the
incorrect contract amount agreed upon with Subaqueous Services, LLC. As a result an
additional amount of $10,999.97 is required to meet the agreement amount This will
change the contract amount from $1,555,419.29 to $1,566,419.26.
Upon realizing the error and pursuant to purchasing policy guidelines, a Change Order
was processed and approved administratively.
COUNTY ATTORNEY FINDING: This item has been reviewed and approved by the
County Attorney's Office. This item is not quasi judicial, and as such ex parte disclosure
is not required. This item requires majority vote only. This item is legally sufficient for
Board action. - CMG
FISCAL IMPACT: The source of funds for this contract is Category "A" Tourist
Development Tax dollars.
A budget amendment in the amount of $10,999.97 will be required to establish sufficient
budget within the appropriate Beach RenourishmentlPass Maintenance Fund (195)
funded program.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact
associated with this Executive Summary.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners recognizes a
scrivener's error in the January 13, 2009 approved Contract #09-5148 value with
Subaqueous Services, LLC for the Dredging of Doctors and Wiggins Passes in the
amount of $10,999.97 and approves a revised contract amount totaling $1,566,419.26
and all necessary budget amendments.
