OBJECTIVE: To appointment] member to fulfill the remainder of a vacant term, expiring on
September 23,2012, to the Immokalee Beautification MSTU Advisory Committee.
CONSIDERATIONS: The Immokalee Beautification MSTU Advisory Committee had I
term expire on Sep1ember 23, 2008. This 5-member committee advises the Board of County
Commissioners on the budget and related matters pertaining to the beautification taxing district.
Members must be residents of the Immoka!ee Beautification Taxing District or a member
appointed by a business located within the boundaries ofthe MSTU, Terms are 4 years. A list of
the current membership is included in the backup.
The term for Dorcas F. Howard expired on September 23, 2008, A press release was issued and

The lmmokalee Beautification MSTU has received and reviewed one application by the prescribed deadline for
its vacancy due to a term expiring. Applicant was evaluated based on the potential contribution to the Committee.
Mrs. Williams meets the criteria as established per the lmrnokalee Beautification MSTU Ordinance and owns
commercial property within the MSTU Boundary.

This 5 member committee was created by Ord. No. 85-65, amended by Ord. No. 90-8 and 92-40
to assist the Board of County Commissioners in the business affairs of the Immokalee
Beautification Taxing District, and prepare and recommend an itemized budget to cany out the
business of the district for each fiscal year. Membership represents the population of the area
within the Immokalee Beautification Disbict Ord, No. 2002-52 was adopted on 10122/02
changing membership as follows: 4 members shall be permanent residents within the MSTU
and 1 member may be an owner of residential or commercial properly with in the MSTU or may
be an individual, an officer of a corporation, or a partner of a partnership, Terms are 4 years.
