Proiect DescriDtion: The Gordon River Water Quality Park (Freedom Park) includes
construction of a 50 acre storm water management facility. The park will improve water quality
through a series of created wetlands, construct boardwalks and pavilions for visitors to observe
native habitat and wildlife and construct a 2,500 sq. ft. education building to promote
environmental education. The park has received approximately $6 million in grant funding from
Florida Communities Trust and approximately $1.3 million from the South F]orida Water
Management District.

foundation ($90,000).
Ongoing construction, engineering and
inspection cost and schedule is not affected.

Current Proiect Status: The park is currently at 85% construction completion. The
created wetlands, boardwalks and pavilions and exotic removal are at approximately

rooms are scheduled for completion by April 2009. Final completion of the park is
