WHeReAS, the Collier County Soard of County Commissioners and €dison State College
encourage citizens ta be a part of the solution to the energy crisis facing
America, encourage county staff and citizens to conserve our natural
resaurcu. and agree to wark towards implementing ideas that effectively
address the future energy needs of the community; and,
WHEREAS. Collier County has undertaken many steps toward saving energy in the areas
of public works, recycling, transportation, and environmental education,'
and.
WH€REAS. the Collier County B"ard of County Commissioners and Edison State College
believe in the need to address energy efficiency. community health and
environmental qua/ity throughout the county: and.
WHEREAS, the First Annual Edison GreenFest, a campus-wide showcase of eco-
friendly products, services, and information aimed at helping people live
greener lives, is coming to Collier County on March 25, 26 and 27. 2009 at
the Edison State College Collier Campus,
NOW THEREFORE, be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of Collier
County, Florida, that March 25, 2009, be designated as
Edison State College GreenFest Day
and we urge the entire community to participate In GreenFest activities to
learn more about ''going green ":.
