I I Exhibit A Future Land Use Element CPSP-2003-9 V. OVERLAYS AND SPECIAL FEATURES [Pg. 50] B. Airport Noise Area Overlay [Pg. 52] The Naples Airport Authority developed an airport noise compatibility plan under the guidelines of the Federal Aviation Regulation, Part 150. This plan included identifying noise contours at the ~ 65,70 and 75 Ldn (day-night average sound level). The Airport Noise Area Overlay shown on the Future Land Use Map reflects the 60 e& Ldn contour, the least severe impact of these ~ four noise contours. Residential and other noise sensitive land uses are considered "normally unacceptable" in areas exposed to levels between 60 e& Ldn and 75 Ldn. This Overlay is informational and has no regulatory effect. However, the Land Development Code contains an Airport Overlay District, which regulates development near the Naples Municipal Airport.
