RESOLUTION NO. 2003 - 233
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 2003 -
130 TO TERMINATE A TEMPORARY OPTIONAL FUEL COST
SURCHARGE THAT AUTHORIZED BUT DID NOT REQUIRE TAXI
DRIVERS TO RECOVER SOME OF THE EXTRAORDINARILY HIGH
COSTS TO PURCHASE MOTOR VEHICLE FUELS; PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 2003-130, adopted by the Board of County Commissioners
on March 25,2003, acting as the Public Vehicle Advisory Board, which Resolution authorized a
driver-optional temporary fuel cost surcharge because of extraordinary increases in the retail
prices of motor vehicle fuels in Collier County; and
WHEREAS, the temporary fuel cost surcharge was to continue until repealed by this
Resolution, as the former Resolution specified that the temporary fuel cost surcharge would be
terminated as soon as practicable after the average retail cost along Airport Pulling Road in
Collier County for unleaded regular gasoline should be determined by the Public Vehicle
Advisory Committee to have dropped below $1.55 and 9/lOth cents per gallon; and
WHEREAS, the Public Vehicle Advisory Committee has determined that the average
retail cost along Airport Pulling Road in Collier County for unleaded regular gasoline is
determined by that Public Vehicle Advisory Committee to have dropped below $1.55 and 9/10th
cents per gallon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
1. Resolution No. 2003-130 is hereby repealed; whereby the temporary optional fuel cost
surcharge is terminated by adoption of this Resolution,
2. This Resolution shall be effective upon its adoption
