EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
COMMISSIONER REQUEST FOR BOARD APPROVAL FOR PAYMENT TO
ATTEND FUNCTION SERVING A VALID PUBLIC PURPOSE
OBJECTIVE: For the Board of County Commissioners to declare a valid public
purpose for a Commissioner to attend function,'event and approve payment hy the Clerk.
CONSIDERATIONS: Pursuant fa Resolution No. 99.4] 0, the Board of County
Commissioners has defermined fhat attendance at the functions offrakrnal, business,
environmental, educafional, charitable, social, professional, trade, homeowners, ethnic,
and ciyic associafion/organizations seITes a valid puhlic purpose, provided that said
functions reasonably relatc to Collier County matters.

PUBLIC PURPOSE: IvIeet and interact with local business and community leaders.

RECOMMENDATION: Thaf the Board of County Commissioners, in accordance with
Resolution No, 99.410, approve paymenf by the Clerk for Commissioner Donna Fiala to
attend function serving a ,'alid public pUrpOSe.
