RESOLUTION NO. 2003-333
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF COLLIER COUNTY TO APPROVE MARLENE FOORD FOR
APPOINTMENT TO SERVE AS A REPRESENTATIVE OF COLLIER
COUNTY GOVERNMENT ON THE SOUTHWEST FLORIDA
RESOURCE CONSERVATION &. DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL, INC.
WHEREAS, the Southwest Florida Resource, Conservation & Development Council,
Inc. was established in 2002 as a Florida nonprofit corporation, organized by volunteers
and community leaders to address the economic, social and natural resource issues
facing the communities of Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry and lee Counties; and
WHEREAS, the Council desires local government representation to assure equality of
representation from all five of these Counties; and
WHEREAS, the Council is requesting that Marlene Foord, Grants Coordinator for
Collier County, be approved by the Board of County Commissioners to serve on the
Council as a representative of Collier County government; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has determined that it is in the
public interest of Collier County to designate a County employee to serve on this
Council as a representative of Collier County government.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNT!', FLORIDA, that Marlene Foord is hereby
approved for appointment by the Southwest Florida Resource, Conservation &
Development Council, Inc., to serve as a representative of Collier County government
on the Council.
This Resolution adopted after motion, second and majority vote.
