RESOLUTION NO. 03 - 330
A RESOLUTION RENAMING 18TH AVENUE
NORTHWEST TO GOLDEN OAKS LANE, WHICH
STREET IS LOCATED IN UNIT 97, OF THE GOLDEN
GATE ESTATES SUBDIVISION, LOCATED IN
SECTION 29, TOWNSHIP 48 SOUTH, RANGE 26
EAST, COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners is authorized pursuant to authority of
Chapter 336.05, Florida Statutes, to name or rename streets and roads, except for certain state
roads; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Collier County Ordinance No. 99-76, as codified in Section
22-0357 of the Collier County Code of Laws and Ordinances, the Board of County
Commissioners is required to approve requests to rename streets or roads by a supermajority
vote of four or more of the Commissioners; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has been requested by Peter Goodin,
Chairman of the Street Name Change Committee of the Oakes Estates Advisory,
Incorporated, representing Barb Collins, the petitioner, to rename 18th Avenue Northwest to
Golden Oaks Lane. This street is located in Section 29, Township 48 South, Range 26 East,
Collier County, Florida, Unit 97, of the Golden Gate Estates Subdivision, according to the
Plat thereof, recorded in Plat Book 7, Pages 95 through 96, of the Official Records of Collier
County, Florida; and
WHEREAS, there is no other street in Collier County with this name or any similar
sounding name; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for identification purposes to confirm the name of this street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY the Board of County Commissoners
Collier County, Florida; that
The name of this street is hereby changed from 18th Avenue Northwest to Golden Oaks
Lane and is confirmed as such.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be recorded in the Public Records
of Collier County, Florida, and noted upon the appropriate zoning atlas of Collier County,
and notations made on the referenced Plat.
This Resolution adopted after motion, second and supermajority vote
