WHEREAS, on March 22, 2016, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) adopted Ordinance No. 2016-07 establishing the Collier County Public Transit Advisory Committee (Advisory Committee) to assume the duties and responsibilities of the former Collier County Ad Hoc Public Transit Advisory Committee, which was established by Resolution No. 2013-50, as amended, to make recommendations to the Board in matters related to transit policies, issues, programs, and plans to provide mass transit services in Collier County; and WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2016-07 provides that the Advisory Committee shall be composed of seven members to include one representative designated by The District School Board, at least two representatives who are passengers of the system, and when possible, representatives of other categories as set forth in the Ordinance; and WHEREAS,two seats on this Advisory Committee expired on March 22, 2019; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners previously provided public notice soliciting applications from interested parties; and WHEREAS, the Committee has provided the Board with its recommendations for reappointment. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that JOHN DIMARCO, a transit rider, and ARTHUR DOBBERSTEIN, a transportation/planning professional, are each hereby reappointed to their respective seats on the Collier County Public Transit Advisory Committee to serve three-year terms expiring on March 22, 2022.
