EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to reappoint two members to the Public Transit Advisory Committee.
OBJECTIVE: To reappoint two members to the Public Transit Advisory Committee, to three-year terms
expiring on March 22, 2022.
CONSIDERATIONS: The Public Transit Advisory Committee was originally established as an ad hoc
committee on February 26, 2013, by Resolution No. 2013-50, to make recommendations to the Board of
County Commissioners in matters related to transit policies, issues, programs and pla ns to provide mass
transit services to the citizens of Collier County. On March 22, 2016, the BCC adopted Ordinance No.
2016-07, which converted the committee from an ad hoc to a regular advisory committee. Terms are three
years. A list of the current membership is included in the backup.
Two seats on this committee expired on March 22, 2019. The vacancies were advertised, and the
following applications were received:

ATTENDANCE: Mr. DiMarco and Mr. Dobberstein have had no unexcused absences during the past
two years. Attendance records are included in the backup.
COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: At its meeting on March 19, 2019, the committee unanimously
voted to recommend that Mr. DiMarco and Mr. Dobberstein each be reappointed to their respective seats
on the Public Transit Advisory Committee, to three-year terms which shall expire on March 22, 2022. A
recommendation email and the PTAC Executive Summary (Item 5a) are included in the backup.
FISCAL IMPACT: None.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: None.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners adopts the Committee
Recommendation, and directs the County Attorney to prepare a resolution confirming the reappointments.
