P R O C L A M A T I O N
WHEREAS, the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collier County has been
dedicated to reducing the trauma to abused and neglected
children for more than 30 years; and,
WHEREAS, every child deserves the right to a safe and happy life; and,
WHEREAS, April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and the pinwheel
is the symbol of hope for young victims of child abuse; and,
WHEREAS, on April 13, 2019, the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collier
County, with the help of many caring citizens of Collier County,
will create a spectacular display of sparkling blue and silver
pinwheels in the sand at the Naples Pier in an attempt to break
the Guinness World Record for the Largest Toy Pinwheel Display
in the World.
NOW THEREFORE, be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of
Collier County, Florida, that April 13, 2019, be designated as
PINWHEELS AT THE PIER DAY
IN COLLIER COUNTY
DONE AND ORDERED THIS 9TH Day of April 2019.
