EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to accept and appropriate a restricted donation of $500 to benefit the Marco
Island Branch Library and authorize the necessary Budget Amendment.
OBJECTIVE: To accept and appropriate a restricted donation to benefit the patrons of the Marco Island
Branch Library.
CONSIDERATIONS: In December 2018, the Collier County Public Library received a donation in the
amount of $500 with a restricted request that the money be used for the Marco Island Branch Library.
Funds will be used to enhance the quality of library service and programs to the residents and visitors of
the Marco Island Branch Library.
FISCAL IMPACT: A Budget Amendment is needed to appropriate the $500 donation within the
Library's 129 Fund (Fund Center 156112, WBS # 46046). There is no requirement for a County match.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This Item has been reviewed by the County Attorney, is approved as to
form and legality, and requires majority vote for approval. -JAK
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no Growth Management impact resulting from this
action.
RECOMMENDATION: To authorize a Budget Amendment to recognize and appropriate the restricted
donation of $500 to benefit the Marco Island Branch Library.
