PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, Satisfy the Hunger Community Food Drive, hosted by the Naples
Daily News, the Richard M. Shultz Family Foundation and the
Community Foundation of Collier County, work to fight hunger in our
community; and,
WHEREAS, on March 23, 2019, Collier Area Transit will join with the United
Way of Collier County and Publix to "Stuff the Bus" in conjunction
with the Satisfy the Hunger Community Food Drive, with non-
perishable foods to replenish the local food banks to feed the hungry
in Collier County; and,
WHEREAS, the synergy among county government, commercial entities, and non-
profit agencies to strengthen community ties and improve the quality
of life for the less fortunate citizens of Collier County deserves due
acknowledgement; and,
WHEREAS, in view of the outstanding, selfless efforts of Collier Area Transit,
Publix, and the United Way to feed the hungry of Collier County,
NOW THEREFORE, be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of
Collier County, Florida, that March 23, 2019, be designated as
STUFF THE BUS DAY IN COLLIER COUNTY
DONE AND ORDERED THIS 12th Day of March 2019.
