P R O C L A M A T I O N
WHEREAS, Collier County Fair & Exposition, Inc., a private, not-for-profit
organization, has held an annual County Fair since 1976 embodying
a mix of agriculture, education, food, entertainment and fun; and,
WHEREAS, this year’s Collier County Fair runs from March 14 through March
24 at the Collier County Fairgrounds; and,
WHEREAS, with an annual attendance of more than 85,000, the Collier County
Fair invites everyone to share in the rural lifestyle experiences
and community spirit, and help support our community and the
youth of Collier County; and,
WHEREAS, the Collier County Fair empowers youth to reach their full
potential through collaboration with partners and adult mentors in
an environment in which youth and adults learn, grow and work
together as catalysts for positive change; and,
WHEREAS, through the fair’s Making Life Fair Fund and its annual auction
held during the fair, financial support is raised for dozens of local
organizations and families suffering hardships; and,
WHEREAS, the Collier County Fair allows Collier County Fair & Exposition, Inc.
to produce multiple world-class, community-based events
throughout the year, including the Country Jam Florida Music
Festival, Big Swamp Smoke-Off BBQ Competition & Craft Beer
Festival, and the Haunted “Gross” House.
NOW THEREFORE, be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of
Collier County, Florida, that March 14 through 24, 2019 be
recognized as
43rd ANNIVERSARY OF THE COLLIER COUNTY FAIR
DONE AND ORDERED THIS 12th Day of March 2019.
