EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve and authorize the Chairman to execute an Outgoing Loan Agreement
between the Board of County Commissioners (Board) and the Naples Art Association to provide
free public art exhibits at the North Collier Regional Park Exhibit Hall and authorize the County
Manager or his designee to sign the required receipt of acceptance of artwork at the time of
delivery.
OBJECTIVE: To enter into an agreement with the Naples Arts Association to provide public art exhibits
at North Collier Regional Park Exhibit Hall.
CONSIDERATIONS: To provide for and enhance the visitor experience at the North Collier Regional
Park, the Parks and Recreation Division recommends entering into an Agreement with the Naples Arts
Association in order to provide free public art exhibitions at North Collier Regional Park Exhibit. The
Agreement term is five (5) years. The Naples Art Association will provide a minimum of three (3)
different exhibits per year. In addition, the parties may host exhibit receptions and education programs in
conjunction with the exhibit. The Naples Art Association will assist with hosting an exhibit reception.
FISCAL IMPACT: The County is responsible for insuring the loaned objects or indemnifying the
Naples Art Association for damages or loss to the loaned objects. There is no cost associated with hosting
exhibits. There may be a minimal cost associated with hosting an exhibit reception. Funding for the minor
costs of this program are provided within the Parks Division General Fund (001) operating budget.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no impact to the Growth Management Plan related to
this action.
ADVISORY BOARD RECOMMENDATIONS: This Item is slated to be reviewed by the Parks and
Recreation Advisory Board (PARAB) during their regularly scheduled meeting on February 20, 2019.
The results of the PARAB vote will be known immediately following their meeting.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This Item is approved as to form and legality and requires majority vote
for approval. -CMG
