(Staff’s request) Time Certain Items: Item 11A to be heard at 9:30 a.m. Item 11B to be heard immediately following Item 11A Item 9A to be heard immediately following Item 11B Item 11C to be heard at 10:40 a.m. 3/12/2019 9:06 AM 03/12/2019 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Recommendation to sign a School Facilities Lease Agreement with the School District of Collier County, Florida, to allow for a public meeting for the Randall Boulevard and Oil Well Road Corridor Study to be held on March 27, 2019, in the Palmetto Ridge High School cafeteria. OBJECTIVE: To seek authorization from the Board of County Commissioners (Board) to direct the Chair to sign a lease agreement with the School District of Collier County ("School District") to secure the Palmetto Ridge High School cafeteria for a March 27, 2019, public meeting. CONSIDERATIONS: The Growth Management Division (GMD) is currently conducting the Randall Boulevard and Oil Well Road Corridor Study to consider the potential roadway network improvements and future roadway alignment. The locations for the two prior public meetings for this project are not available for this meeting. Due to the significance of the project, it was decided to hold the meeting within the project corridor. This will allow a greater number of residents to attend and provide input on the project alternatives. County staff has been in coordination with the School District to secure the Palmetto Ridge High School cafeteria to host the March 27th public meeting. The School Facilities Lease Agreement is attached. FISCAL IMPACT: The School Board Facilities Department is not charging a rental fee for this public meeting. GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: The requested action will have no impact to the GMP, but will provide the community better access to the public meeting. LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is approved as to form and legality and requires majority vote for Board approval. -SRT RECOMMENDATION: To authorize the Chair to sign the attached School Facilities Lease Agreement between the School District and the Board to allow for a public meeting for the Randall Boulevard and Oil Well Road Corridor Study to be held on March 27, 2019, in the Palmetto Ridge High School cafeteria.
