EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to appoint five members to the Vanderbilt Waterway Municipal Service Taxing
Unit Advisory Committee.
OBJECTIVE: To appoint five members to the Vanderbilt Waterway Municipal Service Taxing Unit
Advisory Committee
CONSIDERATIONS: On December 12, 2018, the Board of County Commissioners enacted Ordinance
No. 2018-64, which created the Vanderbilt Waterway Municipal Taxing Service Unit Advisory
Committee to aid and assist the Board of County Commissioners in tasks related to preparing and
recommending an itemized budget of the amount of money required to carry out the business of the
MSTU for the next fiscal year; recommend work programs and priorities to the County Manager in
accordance with the adopted budget or budget amendment; adopt and amend “Guidelines” to govern its
operation and the operation of the MSTU.
The Committee is structured to have five members, which generally represent the area within the MSTU.
The initial terms of office of the Committee shall be as follows: Two (2) members shall be appointed for
a term of two (2) years; Three (3) members shall be appointed for a term of four (4) years.
The vacancies were advertised, and applications were received from the following:

RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners considers the recommendation for
appointment of all five applicants and directs the County Attorney to prepare a resolution confirming the
appointments. The County Attorney recommends that Mr. Arnold and Mr. Cuny be appointed to terms of
two (2) years, and Mr. Fantegrossi, Ms. Koeper, and Ms. Marsal be appointed to terms of four (4) years.
These terms were based on the alphabetical order of the applicants.
