EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to authorize a Budget Amendment to accept and appropriate restricted donations
totaling $10,000 to support the replacement of the East Naples Branch Library carpet.
OBJECTIVE: To accept and appropriate restricted donations totaling $10,000 to support the
replacement of the East Naples Branch Library carpet.
CONSIDERATIONS: In December 2018, two (2) donors who prefer to remain anonymous, contributed
$5,000 each to the Collier County Public Library with the request that the money be used towards
replacement of the East Naples Branch Library carpet, which is over twenty (20) years old and showing
signs of extreme wear.
FISCAL IMPACT: A Budget Amendment is needed to appropriate the donations totaling $10,000
within the Library’s (129) Fund (Fund Center 156112, Project # 46045.1). There is no requirement for a
County match.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This Item has been reviewed by the County Attorney, is approved as to
form and legality, and requires majority vote for approval. -JAK
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no Growth Management impact resulting from this
action.
RECOMMENDATION: To authorize a Budget Amendment to recognize and appropriate the restricted
donations totaling $10,000 to support the replacement of the East Naples Branch Library carpet.
