Resolution 2005-217 RESOLUTION NO. 2005 - 217 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE WATER, SEWER RATES, WHICH IS SCHEDULE ONE OF APPENDIX A TO SECTION FOUR OF THE COLLIER COUNTY ORDINANCE NO. 2001-73, TITLED THE COLLIER COUNTY WAfER-SEWER DISTRICT UNIFORM BILLING, OPERATING AND REGULATORY STANDARDS ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A DELAYED EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, on December II, 200] the Board of County Commissioners adopted an Ordinance No. 2001-73, entitled the Collier County Water-Sewer District Uniform Billing, Operating and Regulatory Standards Ordinance, and increased the water-sewer user rates and directed staff to update the user rates after one year; and WHEREAS, on February 25, 2003, the Board of County Commissioners approved Water and Wastewater Master Plans, Water and Wastewater ]mpact Fees, and Water and Wastewater User Rates that included a Consumer Price Index increase for the two liscal years starting from October 1,2003 and October 1, 2004; and WHEREAS, Collier County uses water and sewer user rates to recover system operation, maintenance, renewal/enhancement, replacement and debt service costs from residential and non-residential systcm users within the boundaries of the Collier County Water-Sewer District; and WHEREAS, the rate study of February 25, 2003, also included calculations for rate increases for FY 2006 and FY 2007 which included allowances for inflation measured by the Consumer Price Index as part of the revenue requirement calculalions; and WHEREAS, the rate consultant recommends and the staff concurs that the Board adopt the rate increases for FY 2006 as recommended in the rate study of February 25, 2003, as reflected in the the attached Schedule One to Appendix A. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that: The Board of County Commissioners, after advertised public hearing, accepts the staffs recommendation and proclaims that the water and sewer user rates as set forth in the amended Schedule One to Appendix A of Ordinance No. 2001-73, as amended, titled the Collier County Water-Sewer District Uniform Billing, Operating and Regulatory Standards Ordinance, which amended Schedule is incorporated herein. These revised water and sewer user rate schedules will take effect at 12:01 A.M. on Saturday, October I, 2005 for Fiscal Year 2006. Fire Systems (Dedicated and Compound) (a) Fire Meter (i) Fire Service meter size will refer to the largest diameter meter register installed for fire protection.
